As Teo Chun Ching prepares for his departure, Tan Sin Heng Daniel has been named as his successor. This appointment comes shortly after the Ministry designated Wee Teck as the new chair of GRA. Tan's Notable Contributions to Road Safety Currently serving as commander of the Singapore Police Force’s Traffic Police unit, Tan has spearheaded various legal reforms to enhance road safety in the country. He championed major revisions to the demerit points system and adjustments to speed limits for heavy vehicles, contributing to a reduction in road incidents. The Ministry of Home Affairs expressed its pleasure in welcoming Tan as CEO of the GRA. It highlighted some of his prior achievements as commander of the Traffic Police, which included the introduction of modern Electric Vehicle Expressway Patrol cars and the utilization of artificial intelligence for improved detection of traffic violations.
